Comment on Surviving spouses and VA home loans by Felix Marisol (1SG, Army Ret.)

Man, this got big problems. Starts with all drama crying words like “graveside” and “shattered life” try make you sad so you buy they loan, but then fast switch to boring bank talk about “PMI premiums” – like what? What this is? Pick one! Mira, no use same old tired words everybody use like “knowledge is power” and “communication is key” that so overused my Abuela Conch sick of hearing them. That all mixed up and feel like they using dead soldier just to sell stuff instead of really help. Act like VA loan fix everything for widow lady but that not real life. What if she no have job now or dead husband medical bills make bad credit? Zero down payment sound nice but still gotta pay every month, plus taxes and fix house problems. Why everybody think widow need to buy house right after husband die? Maybe she need time think, maybe move near family, maybe get apartment first. But article never say “maybe wait” – just say “get loan now!” And that stupid rule about losss benefit if marry again before 57 – why government care if she find love? That dumb. This whole thing just advertisement pretend to be help but really want sell government loan. They use sad story make us emotional so widow lady buy loan without think good. Real help article would say truth about when house loan good idea and when not good idea, maybe tell her save money first or wait see how life look now. But they no do that cause they want sell something. Not honest, not caring – just business trying look like they help military families.
