Washington, D.C. will once again take center stage this November as the nation comes together to honor America’s heroes at the Third Annual National Veterans Day Parade. This year’s celebration spans an entire weekend of events dedicated to recognizing the service and sacrifice of our veterans.
The festivities begin on Friday, November 7th with the Grand Marshal Dinner at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center. On Saturday, November 8th, the National Field Show for Bands takes over the National Mall from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by opening ceremonies at the National Archives at 11:00 a.m. The parade itself steps off at noon along Constitution Avenue, starting at 7th Street.
The highlight of the weekend will be on Sunday, November 9th, when the National Veterans Day Parade marches proudly up Constitution Avenue—from the National Archives to the White House. This historic route offers a powerful backdrop to honor the men and women who have sworn the solemn oath to protect and defend our Constitution.
As the first and only national parade dedicated solely to America’s veterans, this event has quickly become a proud tradition in the capital. Whether marching, cheering from the sidelines, or applying to take part, everyone is invited to join in celebrating the courage, resilience, and dedication of those who have served.
Mark your calendars, bring your flags, and come be a part of history as Washington, D.C. unforgettably honors our veterans.
